ITINERARY

Sydney is a family friendly city with something for every age group to enjoy. This 4 night mini-package includes family-friendly accommodation in apartments along with great activities. It is intended as a sample of what we can put together for your family, whether you’re traveling with one small child or four teenagers.

Parents—the hotels recommended can arrange babysitters, should you want to sample some of Sydney’s fine dining restaurants or take in a show at the Opera House.

DAY 1 Arrive Sydney
On arrival there’s no waiting in line for a taxi—you’ll be met and transferred to your accommodation, and your driver will help with your luggage. After you check in, we recommend you start using your Smart Card right away—the Sydney Aquarium is one of the world’s best and is open until 10pm.

DAY 2
Today you’re in for a very memorable experience—an exclusive, extremely popular, behind-the-scenes tour of Taronga Zoo’s unique Australian animal collection designed especially for the inquisitive traveler. Your docent guide will tailor your experience to the age of your kids, perhaps taking you inside the Koala enclosure, or to the animal hospital where owies are fixed and babies are born. This is an informative introduction to Australia’s unusual wildlife and includes excellent photographic opportunities with kangaroos, wallabies, birds, wombats and echidnas as well as over 200 animals in the Street’s ‘Creatures of the Wollemi’ exhibit. As well as this 2 hour tour, you’ll get:

  • all day Zoo access
  • a round trip on the Sky Safari cable car—discover why Taronga is known as ‘The Zoo with a View’
  • ‘up close and personal’ with hand-raised native animals
  • great photographic opportunities with a koala or other Aussie friend.

DAY 3
Your Smart Cards will come into play today as you choose between such options as the Powerhouse Museum, a free walking tour of The Rocks, Featherdale Wildlife Park, Sportspace Tours, the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic center and many, many more.

DAY 4
Again, you get to choose from many Smart Card options but one very popular one is to take the train to the Blue Mountains. Stop at Katoomba and explore the Jenolen Caves. Your Smart Card will give you a discount on the train and free transfers from Katoomba to, and entry into, the Caves. Or visit Scenic World and ride the Scenic Skyway through the valley.
