Explore the Red Centre’s highlights on this two-day tour witnessing the awesome colors of Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and Uluru (Ayers Rock).
Day 1 Camel Farm, The Olgas, Walpa Gorge Walk & Sunset Drinks at Uluru
Depart Alice Springs and travel through the rugged landscapes of the West MacDonnell Ranges. Stop at the Camel Farm to learn about these animals and for the opportunity to ride a camel (own expense) then continue to Ayers Rock Resort. Early in the afternoon join a tour to the magnificent 36 giant rocky domes of The Olgas (Kata Tjuta) and walk into Walpa Gorge. As the sun sets, enjoy a complimentary glass of wine at Ayers Rock (Uluru).
Day 2 Uluru at Sunrise, Mutitjulu Waterhole, Guided Mala Walk, Alice Springs
Rise early and return to Ayers Rock for sunrise. At Mutitjulu see ancient rock paintings and hear the legends of Kuniya Tjukurpa (Python Dreaming). Tour the base of Uluru before joining your guide on the Mala Walk to Kantju Gorge. Alternatively climb to the summit of Uluru. Then visit the Maruku Arts and Craft Cooperative where you may see an Aboriginal artist at work. Depart for Alice Springs, arriving approximately 6:30pm.
