Start in Auckland, the city of sails. Explore the harbor and perhaps go sailing, enjoy a sunset cruise or dine at the viaduct. Travel from Auckland to the fascinating Waitomo Caves where you will experience a guided tour of the famous glowworm grotto and an underground boat ride. Continue via Lake Karapiro to arrive in Rotorua. In the evening learn about Maori culture as you see a unique Maori concert and try a Maori Hangi (feast). Rotorua has many varied attractions on offer.  Visit Te Puia Thermal Reserve. Learn about traditional Maori crafts at the Maori Arts and Crafts Institute, before traveling to Rainbow Springs and Agrodome Farm Show.  From Rotorua, fly to Queenstown (flight own expense), New Zealand’s adventure capital. You’ll enjoy free time to explore this vibrant village.  On one day travel along the shores of Lake Wakatipu to Te Anau, gateway to the Fiordland National Park. Join a cruise along the Milford Sound and explore the wonders of this majestic fiord before returning to Queenstown. There is one free day in Queenstown before you journey through some of New Zealand’s most spectacular landscapes and onto Christchurch.
