Rainforest & Northern Rivers (ex Coolangatta)

Departing the coastal vista of Tweed Heads and Kingscliff, your tour this morning heads inland via Murwillumbah and snakes along the Tweed River. Travel through rich volcanic pastureland and magnificent escarpments before entering the Mt Warning National Park. Mt Warning is the ancient core of the largest and best preserved extinct shield volcano in the world. Be enthralled by this World Heritage listed park that features rich rainforest and abundant wildlife.
Traveling to the base of Mt Warning we take a stroll along an elevated walkway to a magical viewing platform. Continuing south we visit the charming towns of Uki and Kyogle. Here we have some time to observe some of the local art and craft. Next we enter the Mebbin National Park. It is here that your guide will lead you on a stunning walk through sub tropical rainforest and a stand of ancient giant figs. Further still we make our way to the Border Ranges National Park to view the very distinctive feature known as The Pinnacle. Close by at Tyalgum, an old timber milling town, we enjoy lunch at a local café amongst locals. After lunch your tour continues to the Springbrook National Park to view the spectacular Natural Bridge formation, before heading home through the Gondwanan Rainforests. You will also have an opportunity to stop off at some of the many roadside fruit stalls offering fresh local produce grown in the fertile volcanic soils of the region. Making our way through the cane fields we reach Murwillumbah again before arriving back on the coast. Departs daily from the Gold Coast at 8.30am.  Duration 8.5 hours.
