Arnhem land today has managed to stay as a last frontier and homeland of around 20,000 Aboriginal people. While you are in Arnhem land a traditional Aboriginal guide will show you excellent examples of rock art on Injalak Hill (long Tom Dreaming). At the award-winning Injalak Art and Craft Centre there is an opportunity to browse or purchase traditional Aboriginal artifacts. You’ll witness Aboriginal people painting and see the women weaving pandanus baskets. This afternoon will be a highlight as you access the valley with its stunning scenery of billabongs, birds, and majestic escarpments. Departs Mon-Sat May-Oct at 5.30am. Duration 8 hours. Katherine Day Tour

Depart Darwin and stop at the Adelaide River War Cemetery. Continue to Edith Falls for a swim. After lunch, enter Nitmiluk National Park and join your guided cruise through Katherine Gorge. Your guide will detail the local flora and fauna while watching out for freshwater crocodiles. Depart Darwin and enter Kakadu National Park. Covering almost 8,000 square miles, Kakadu is Australia’s largest National Park.
